ZIEGLER delivers three vehicles to the Frankfurt Fire Department

Modern firefighting technology for volunteer fire departments of Heddernheim, Rödelheim and Sachsenhausen

Albert Ziegler GmbH has delivered three identical LF 10 firefighting vehicles to the Frankfurt Fire Department. The vehicles were procured as part of the 12th state procurement initiative by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, Security and Homeland Security and will be used to bolster the volunteer fire departments in the districts of Heddernheim, Rödelheim and Sachsenhausen.

The new firefighting vehicles were specifically tailored to the needs of Frankfurt’s emergency services. At the heart of the system is a 1,200-liter water tank with integrated drinking water protection. Combined with the powerful ZIEGLER Z-Pump 10-2000-1H with Trokomat venting, emergency responders have a reliable water supply available at all times.

The chassis is a MAN TGM 13.290 4×4 BL with an engine power of 213 kW (290 HP). The superstructure is based on the proven, latest-generation ALPAS system. The modern Z-Control operating concept ensures intuitive and safe operation. The Z-Cab accommodates a crew of 1 + 8 emergency personnel and, with its three-step entry, enables ergonomic and quick access to the vehicle.

Great emphasis was also placed on safety and efficiency when it came to the equipment. Features include Z-Vision LED perimeter lighting, a pneumatic light mast with eight LED spotlights, a rear warning system with four LED lights and maneuvering lights on the exterior mirrors. The security concept is complemented by modern assistance systems such as a turn-assist feature.

For operations under difficult conditions, the vehicles are additionally equipped with a self-protection system featuring eight ground spray nozzles and heat protection. Other practical solutions, such as the hygiene panel PUSH, a sliding ladder, the standardized pump control panel (SPBF), and the “Pump and Roll” function, support emergency responders in a wide variety of operational situations.

With the commissioning of the new vehicles, the Frankfurt Fire Department is making a targeted investment in modern and future-proof equipment to ensure it can continue to provide rapid and reliable assistance in the future.
