ZIEGLER delivers new firefighting vehicle to the Safety Region Fryslân

In February 2022, our subsidiary Ziegler Brandweertechniek B.V. delivered a new firefighting vehicle to the fire department Drachten in the Safety Region Fryslân (VRF).

That is one of the first firefighting vehicles from a total of 29 vehicles for this region. It is built on a Volvo chassis, Type FE 320 4x2 and equipped with the latest innovations of ZIEGLER Group.

ALPAS of the latest generation
The vehicle is equipped with the well-known superstructure system ALPAS of the latest generation. The patented Aluminum Panel System is not only highly flexible, it is also extremely solid and long living. Firefighting vehicles with ALPAS superstructure are absolutely reliable tools for every operation. With optimised panels, ALPAS saves weight compared to the past super-structure. Due to this, more extinguishing water can be carried along.

The new vehicle of VRF is equipped with the crew cabin Z-Cab XL. This cabin is fully integrated in the driver’s cabin and can be tilted with it. All ZIEGLER Group crew cabins are being built in series at the headquarters in Giengen/Brenz. The Z-Cab excels with an ergonomic and functional design. Inside the cabin of the fire department Fryslân, there is room for 7 people (2+2+3). The ZIEGLER crew cab has been tested according to all requirements and of course also meets the ECE R29 standard.
The built-in Z-Protec self-protection system protects the inmates from serious injuries if there is an accident.

Z-Control of the latest generation
For more than 10 years Z-Control is an important constant on the market. With further developments the system is even more efficient. All vehicles and components of ZIEGLER Group receive the same User Interface, no matter if Ultra Power or Z-Class. Customer requirements can be expanded flexible: With an integrated telematics function the user has access to all important vehicle data all the time.
