Under the motto #readywhenyouare, ZIEGLER will showcase its latest innovations for fire departments and emergency personnel at INTERSCHUTZ 2026 in Hanover, across a booth area of approximately 3,000 m². In addition to solutions for operational hygiene and multifunctional vehicle concepts, one topic takes center stage: the comprehensive digitization of operational processes.

With a total of 12 vehicles as well as modern technical and digital solutions, ZIEGLER demonstrates how operational procedures can be made more efficient and how the workload on emergency personnel can be specifically reduced.

Focus on Smart Connectivity

ZIEGLER is taking digitalization in the firefighting and emergency response sectors to a new level. At INTERSCHUTZ 2026, the company will present a completely redesigned digital product ecosystem that intelligently connects all operational areas in a future-oriented ecosystem – from vehicles and equipment to personnel, operations, and services. The goal is to intelligently link information, streamline processes and enable fast, data-driven decisions in real time.
At the heart of this new system ecosystem is the Z-Control Hub, serving as the central platform for all digital applications. It consolidates information, systems and processes in one place, thereby delivering a new level of clarity, efficiency and user-friendliness. At the same time, ZIEGLER is consistently evolving the established and market-leading HMI system Z-Control into the digital world, combining vehicle control, user experience and cloud technology into a holistic, future-oriented solution.

Z-Control Hub – the digital heart

The Z-Control Hub is much more than just a dashboard – it is the digital heart of the ZIEGLER ecosystem. As a central platform, it intelligently connects all applications, systems, and services – open, scalable, and flexibly adaptable to individual requirements.
As an IMBOS-ready platform, the system is consistently future-proof. In addition to all ZIEGLER applications, third-party applications, external platforms and customer-specific systems can also be linked. This creates a central digital work environment that can be tailored precisely to the needs of fire departments, municipalities, workshops or government agencies.
Through the Z-Control Hub, users access Z-Connect, the central system for intelligent vehicle, fleet and asset management.

Fleet Monitor
The integrated fleet monitor provides a comprehensive overview of all vehicles and tactical units, offering not only standard vehicle data but also a wealth of additional information in real time. This includes vehicle status, fire suppressant and fuel levels, alarm and event notifications, assigned equipment, personnel data and graphically presented CAN, pump and sensor data. Customizable dashboards allow for a tailored display of all relevant information.

A key feature is the automatic trip log, which uses telematics to document trips and analyze them using map data. This makes it possible, for example, to track emergency response trips or the use of firefighting agents at any time. At the same time, threshold values and malfunctions are automatically detected and processed centrally in the Notification Center, enabling managers to respond promptly.
The new generation of ZIEGLER smoke detection systems can also be seamlessly integrated into the platform. In doing so, we are responding to the growing demand for intelligent safety solutions and offering a system that is optimally tailored to the ZIEGLER ecosystem.

Asset Monitor – Everything at a Glance
In addition, the Asset Monitor provides comprehensive monitoring of all devices and mobile containers. Locations, operational statuses, telemetry data, and event histories are continuously recorded and clearly displayed. This allows emergency personnel to maintain a clear overview of all available resources at all times.

Asset Configurator and Fleet Configurator
Managing systems within ZIEGLER is intuitive and requires just a few clicks. The Asset Configurator enables the structured creation, categorization, and documentation of devices and equipment. Assets (devices/equipment) can be grouped into logical categories—for example, to efficiently manage related equipment units for maintenance or operational processes.

In addition, the Fleet Configurator allows for the flexible organization of vehicles, locations and higher-level structures. An integrated vehicle calendar supports the planning of maintenance, shop visits, training and resource reservations.
A central component of both configurators is the transparent traceability of all processes: Comments can be added to every asset and every unit, ensuring that decisions, changes and processing steps remain documented and traceable at all times. Additionally, relevant documents can be attached directly to vehicles, equipment or groups and stored centrally. This creates a complete, structured information base for all stakeholders.

Z-Remote – Next-Generation Direct Service Access

With Z-Remote, ZIEGLER offers service support of the highest standard. Once authorized by the customer, service technicians can connect directly to the vehicle system and provide targeted remote support. This allows for rapid fault analysis, reduces downtime and increases vehicle availability. At the same time, digital processes such as the new calendar function ensure a more efficient and modern service workflow.
For professional and industrial fire departments with their own workshops, the professional ZIEGLER Config Tool is also available. This tool provides extended access to the vehicle architecture as well as targeted adjustments deep within the vehicle structure.

Z-Command – Modern incident command redefined

Z-Command is the new digital platform for seamless and connected incident command at ZIEGLER. It connects all levels of command – from the initial arrival at the scene to complex command structures and large-scale incidents – within a shared, consistent and intuitive working environment. This creates a unified situational picture across all levels and phases of one or more incidents.

With its new incident management system, ZIEGLER offers a central platform for handling single or multiple incidents, thereby creating a fully digital working environment for emergency responders and command units. All relevant information – from automatic situation maps and vehicles (including telemetry data) to equipment, personnel overviews, affected individuals and a structured organizational chart with radio communications – is clearly consolidated in real time. The system is complemented by an integrated media dashboard, an overview of response measures and an automatic log for comprehensive documentation of the operation.

A particular highlight is the new situation center as a central solution for large-scale situations and complex operational scenarios. Here, all active vehicles currently on duty are displayed live within a defined radius. Especially during extreme weather conditions, events or major disaster situations, this creates a comprehensive digital real-time overview of the overall situation at an entirely new level. Additionally, the entire development of the situation is recorded historically and can be reviewed at any time.

Media management is fully integrated: live streams and image sources from drones, robots, dashcams, cell phone cameras, or external streams are displayed in a centrally aggregated view. A recording function is also available. This provides incident commanders and authorities with a complete overview of the current situation at all times.
In addition, intelligent zone management, including integrated geofencing functions enables the quick and intuitive creation of digital situation maps. Geographical restricted zones, operational sectors, staging areas, danger zones, assembly points and tactical symbols can be flexibly created, managed, and clearly documented.

Digitalization taken to a whole new level

With its completely redesigned digital product portfolio, ZIEGLER demonstrates how modern emergency response organizations operate. The combination of a central platform, intelligent connectivity, real-time data and scalable applications lays the foundation for more efficient processes, faster decision-making, and significantly greater transparency.
ZIEGLER thus combines vehicle technology, operational practice and digitalization into a holistic system that sets new standards in emergency response management. As a result, fire departments now have access to vehicles equipped with the latest and most advanced technology, ensuring they are well-prepared for the future.

The future of digital emergency response management begins now – with ZIEGLER #readywhenyouare
