Designed for fire departments, disaster response organizations and other public safety agencies, the Z-X series enables the cost-effective consolidation of a wide range of operational tasks into a single vehicle. The modern Z-Cab, the modular superstructure and the latest-generation Z‑Control operating concept ensure high flexibility, maximum user-friendliness and optimal adaptation to individual requirements.

The versatile problem-solver
The new Z-X vehicle series was developed specifically for fire departments and organizations that need to handle a wide range of tasks with limited resources. The “X” stands for maximum versatility. The combination of a crew compartment, equipment compartments, cargo space and modular roll-on/roll-off containers creates a platform that can be adapted to changing operational requirements in a matter of minutes.
Operating profile
The Z-X series adapts flexibly to a wide range of operational requirements. Whether as a logistics equipment carrier (Z-X GW), a logistics portable pump vehicle (Z-X TSF-L), a hygiene unit, a mobile respiratory protection workshop, a catering vehicle or a command support vehicle – the modular platform enables numerous operational configurations within a single vehicle concept. Special applications, such as those involving drone or robotic systems, can also be easily integrated.
Crew and ergonomics
The modern Z-Cab features a spacious interior layout and a wide range of configuration options. All seats are arranged in the direction of travel, facilitating optimal communication during the ride. SCBA seats can be integrated as an option, allowing emergency responders to gear up while en route. The large panoramic roof creates a bright, airy atmosphere and makes it easier to gear up in daylight.
Superstructure and storage space
The superstructure combines proven ALPAS technology with a spacious cargo area to form a robust, torsionally rigid unit. A sliding partition allows the interior to be divided into two separate sections. If necessary, it can be folded up against the roof, allowing the entire cargo area to be used without restriction.
Loading concept
The modular roll-container system makes the Z-X GW particularly versatile. Depending on the mission, different modules can be loaded and transported. This allows the vehicle to be quickly converted from a logistics vehicle into a sanitation unit, a respiratory protection workshop or a command support unit.
Safety and Visibility
The Z-X series supports safe working conditions both during transit and at the scene of the operation. Glare-free LED lighting in crew and equipment compartments ensures optimal visibility and quick access to the load. Non-slip steps, ergonomically positioned access points and the extendable entry ladders enhance safety during loading and unloading as well as when entering and exiting – even under difficult operating conditions.
Operation and Training
Equipped with the latest generation of Z-Control, the Z-X series features an intuitive and user-friendly control system. The clear layout of the controls makes the vehicle easier to operate and reduces the time needed for orientation and training. Thanks to the consistent control logic, emergency responders can quickly familiarize themselves with the vehicle and focus on what matters most during operations.
