ZIEGLER delivers up to fourteen Z8 to Romania
In February 2025, ZIEGLER delivered the first three Z8 Aircraft Firefighting and Rescue vehicles to the Romanian army. This delivery strengthens the fire protection capacities of Romanian Air Force.
ZIEGLER supplies the vehicles in close cooperation with representative Mountain Industrial. Mountain Industrial was founded in 1992 and specializes in trading airport and special equipment. Through many years of experience and close cooperation with international partners, Mountain Industrial ensures reliable solutions for the ground support of aircraft and manages maintenance contracts at important Romanian civil and military airports.
The Z8 has an impressive extinguishing agent capacity of 16,500 liters of water and 2,000 liters of foam compound, which makes it ideal for massive firefighting operations.
Equipped with two powerful traction motors, the vehicle reaches a top speed of 140 km/h and offers excellent acceleration values, even under demanding climatic and geographical conditions. The proven ZIEGLER extinguishing technology ensures maximum efficiency in operations where every second counts.
The next three vehicles will be delivered in June 2025. In total, up to 14 Z8 will be delivered to the Romanian Air Force.
