ZIEGLER delivers 5-axle SLF on Volvo chassis to Sitech
In February 2023, ZIEGLER delivered a fire fighting vehicle with a total length of 12 meters to Sitech Services. The vehicle was developed and produced in close coordination with the customer.
Rik Feijen, Account Manager at Ziegler Brandweertechniek B.V., says: "With a total length of 12 meters, this SLF is the largest industrial fire fighting vehicle that we have ever manufactured in Winschoten. We are very proud of this. Among other things, the vehicle is equipped with the ZIEGLER Z-PF foam proportioning system, which is unique in the fire fighting industry. Thanks to the innovatively shaped mixing tube, perfect foam proportioning is guaranteed – regardless of the brand, type and viscosity of the (fluorine-free) foam. This makes the system ready for every requirement – and therefore also for the future."
Peter Bloemers, director of fire and safety at Sitech Services adds: "With the addition of this vehicle to our fleet, we are very confident that we will be well-equipped for our Chemelot operations in the years to come".
The vehicle has already been delivered to Sitech Services. The firefighters are currently being trained in the use of the vehicle so that it can then be put into service.
The Chemelot industrial area poses special risks. The Sitech Fire Brigade and Security is a specialist in the field of emergency response in an industrial environment and provides on-site security around the clock.
