Maximum Airport Security
ZIEGLER’s Airport Rescue and Firefighting vehicles offer maximum maneuverability and operational strength at airports worldwide. Equipped with water, foam, powder and powerful extinguishing technology, they are optimally prepared for firefighting operations in the sensitive airport environment.
Operating profile
Airports, heliports and special landing sites are classified into defined fire protection categories in accordance with ICAO Annex 14. These categories specify exactly how much extinguishing agent and how many special vehicles must be kept on site. For over 50 years, ZIEGLER has been developing and manufacturing high-performance Airport Firefighting and Rescue Vehicles that reliably meet these international requirements – in use worldwide and proven many times over.
Superstructure
The precise configuration of each vehicle is one of our core competencies: thanks to our modular ALPAS superstructure, we offer maximum flexibility in terms of equipment, superstructure and special functions. We also provide proven vehicle variants for specific applications such as property protection at airports.
Extinguishing technology
Our Airport Firefighting and Rescue Vehicles are based on 2-, 3-, or 4‑axle chassis and are individually tailored to the respective ICAO fire protection categories. They carry up to 11,000 liters of extinguishing agent – typically water and foam, optionally supplemented with powder or CO2. Powerful roof and front turrets enable targeted and efficient firefighting, even while driving.
